Privacy Policy.

We have always taken confidentiality seriously, however, the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018 require further transparency in regard to how we handle your data. Below are the main points you should be aware of.

Your personal data will never be passed on to a third party unless it has to do with your specific treatment, and you have agreed to this. For example sharing your information with your General Practitioner, insurance company or for onward referrals.

We take appropriate measures to safeguard the information we hold and our data is stored in a secure, protected environment. By law all medical notes are kept for eight years after discharge and then destroyed. You have the right to request copies of your notes during this time. Children’s notes are kept until they reach the age of 25.

Information about you and your condition may be kept on a database but this is used for research purposes only and will be confidential and never sold or passed on to a third party.

The information is a valuable tool providing us with the means to ensure quality, safe and effective treatment in a field that is constantly looking to improve. We only gather information that is necessary for this purpose and you have the right to ask us to delete your data at any time.
